Fixed Asset Inventory: If And When Disaster Strikes, Will You Be Prepared?

We are all susceptible to disasters and preparing for these events enables a smoother recovery. Ensuring your district has an accurate accounting of fixed assets is a critical aspect in disaster recovery. This session describes best practices for planning and performing a physical fixed asset/major movable equipment inventory. It will identify the importance of having regular inventories performed, as well as what assets should be included in the inventory. It will also identify where inventories need to be completed, as well as best times to perform an inventory. We will also discuss best practices for the actual execution of an inventory and maintaining district assets post-inventory.

Speaker:  Tim Michener of Asset Services
